Midwest Team Racing Challenge - 20072007 Final Results
The first day of racing began at 10:15 on Lake Calhoun. On the 'N'
course breeze was light and variable out of the north. The wind held
until around noon when it began to shift violently. Racing continued
until 2pm when it ended due to lack of wind and puffs from all
directions. Most of the round robin was completed with Duck Duck Goose
tied with Nannification for first place.
Sunday, sailors were greeted with a nice 9 to 12 mph wind out of the
south. The Course was set and sailing began again at 10:15. The last
three round robin races were sailed with DDG beating Nannification in
the last race of the round robin. Winds continued to increase through
the day, reaching 25, gusting to 30. With the round robin completed,
Teams were seeded into brackets with 1 race knock out the first round
and three race knockout the second and third round. However, at 12:15
it was apparent that the time limit would come into effect well before
the bracket was completed so racing was halted for the day. Results are
based off the round robin only.
